Beautiful image, Peter. The perch and lovely bg really set him off nicely. Perfect exposure, too. These guys can be really tough to expose without blowing the yellow-oranges or blocking up the blacks.

Lovely image. The bird is very sharp. I like the perch and the background compliments it nicely. The center bottom show either something OOF or maybe a little cloning shadow. It should be an easy fix.

Thanks Angela, it is an OOF leaf and for whatever reason it didn't bother me. Now it does.
I did some quick clone work.

Beautiful, Peter. This has a very painterly quality that I find appealing. The oranges positively glow.

This is superb Peter. I don't mind the OOF leaf at all. Seeing this excellent image makes me a little sad though as it reminds me that the Bullock's Orioles have already come and gone in my yard and I didn't get a single decent shot of them.

Whom ever it was that posted the comment to your web site sure did us a favor. This is great. Excellent colors and details with a nice clean background. Love the head angle and eye contact. I didn't even notice the oof leaf until it was pointed out. Nit picking here, but perhaps the leaf by the beak could also go bye bye, Again nit picking as this is a very strong image as originally posted. Well done

superb image, Peter. really a beautiful bird in a beautiful setting. great details. I love the soft light and agree that this really looks like a painting. personally I would think about removing the little bit of a leaf emerging from the bird's throat. Glad you posted this.

Thanks Everyone,

Which reminds me that I always wish to mention when a bird photo was taken in my yard as this one was. My wife does feed the birds. The perch is not a setup, but I am sure we would have many fewer birds without the feeders.

Lovely, Peter. I struggled with orange coloration in a Baltimor Oriole earlier this year. You show that color so well here. Detail and composition great too.
