Like the abstract view Ken. Georgeous greens and wondeful texture on the leaves.

Creative view and the lines are absolutely beautiful. The dew drop is a real nice touch. However, I think it's quite oversaturated (as photos of this plant so often are) and would tone down the greens.

Really nice shot Ken. The curves are very interesting and the single droplet is a nice touch. This is a very creative and artful shot so the saturatiuon fits well IMO. Well done.

Nicely seen. You nailed the patterns.

What a study in shapes and patterns!! I like the flow through the image. The little water droplet breaks the pattern just enough to keep my going. Very nice. The greens are a bit intense. Maybe that is the real color? I'd still be tempted to tone them down just a little.

Hi folks, thanks for the generous comments!

I did ps'd ..first to clean up little forest dustbunnies and blemishes...this sample shows the unps'd version...it also lacks the brightening-contrast, saturation, and final cropping/sharpening that were my next steps. Yeah...I certainly see what folks mentioned as over-sat'd.

It is that 'Wow!!' factor that I target...yet, try to be subtle....a hard line to find...artists discretion, I suppose,...and glad to see how we vary...that's why this place is such a hotbed for learning!!

Nice Monochrome, Ken. I love that spiral effect leading me in and out of the frame so nicely and also the slight top down angle of the shoot

Ken:
Interesting spiral a bit like a corkscrew with swirling lines. Fantastic find and great capture. May be slightly over-sharpened. :toast:

I agree with you Ken about knowing where the line is. I spend a lot of time on my images trying to convince myself that I didn't go too far. In this case, I think you hit it perfectly.

Oh, good grief, Ken, this is just too amazing. What a tremendous pattern and those lit up curves are out of this world. A work of art that I bet would look amazing in B/W, yes?? I am a bit greedy for more dof, but I see you're max'd out. Hmmm, wide angle close up? Anyway, not to take anything away from this image; I think it's great.

Hi ken :wavey: Love the motion, detail, and the flowing curves. I agree with Luke about the fact, that most veratrum shots are oversarurated. But if that is what people want, Lets give it to them  Beautiful work as usual :toast:

Ken: Really cool how this spirals away from the center stem. That one little drop on the right lower power point is some fine icing on a really nice cake. Superb shot. >=))>
