Vigil to Time

I just recently reworked this image from a few years back......my first truly succesful night image. It was made a bit easier because my friend next to me.....had one of the first generation digital bodies so working out exposures was quite a bit easier! The night has always intrigued me as a photographer......this image sent me on the path to capture it in all its glory!
Canon EOS3 and Kodak E100 film at f4.5 for approximately 1 hour.

Yea...that's pretty sick...and on film. Go figure. Only nit would be a bit more separation of elements between polaris and geyser. Unique image. Kudos

I've tried this one at the same spot unsuccessfully. This geyser used to go off every 15 minutes but has changed intervals as of late. Nice work with this one Roman.

Cool shot. That would get me primed to shoot a ton of night shots.

Roman... that is one very beautiful night shot! Well planned and composed... I have done some night time work so I know , this was not an easy task to pull of especially the post processing! Great job! :toast:

technically superb. the only thing I would have preferred is a slightly different composition.

For film, given the limited choices you have, this is an excellent shot! Cool idea, using your friend's digital to work this out. Very cool in my opinion.

Pretty dang cool! Love the placement of the northern star, not an easy shot to say the least.
