This species ranges across inland and tropical Australia and are closely associated with water. They often cluster in large numbers.

Beautiful shot of this Woodswallow which I've seen in Sabah. Love the look-back pose and your composition.

Nice one, Rob. I like the pose and the perch is really cool. I do wish the perch was all in focus, but that would probably take enormous dof.

The photos of Australian birds posted in this forum always seem to present new species to me. This is another one. Very nice portrait, Rob. A perfect representation of the black/white/gray coloration.

A lovely bird and a fine image. Again, I'm taken with the understated neutral colors in this composition.

I like this very much Rob. What a handsome species and you've presented it very well. For me this oozes quality and I love the slope of the perch in the composition.

Rob,
This is just beautiful. The pose is appealing, the light in the eye is too. Love the soft, natural colors in this. A fine image and one I would love to have in my files.

Nice job getting some detail on the very smooth feathers on the back and head. The simple perch and background augments the subject very well. Couldn't ask for a better pose or eye contact.

The perch has made this image very unique, cover 1/3 of the frame & the exposure on the Woodswallow is bang on.
