...another Veratrum...
by Ken Smith
Yesterday, I made a late afternoon visit to Naches Peak loop trail at Chinook Pass...near Mt Rainier WA. It produced a few wildflower and texture shots. After admiring the work of both Scott Smorra and Dean Sauskojus, I could not walk past a few of these abundant Veratrums... bountiful and robust.
Lupine were lacking. Maybe they will spring forth in a couple weeks...but I fear the weather may turn on them. Did see a few avalanche lilies and Indian Paint...nice though not amazing.
I could not extract the special light that Dean and Scott displayed ps'd...but, this had enough droplets and a riot of shapes to please me. Hopefully you like it too.

An outstanding image. The swirls and textures are nicely captured with added bonus of waterdrops. Like this a lot.
Is this going too far? It has also been flipped and greened/darkened too.
