Another from my Hosta collection. Just got back from camping, and I'm looking forward to shooting these again now that I'm home.

Beautiful colors, fine light and striking composition Kathy. No suggestions.

Hi Kathy, this is a beautiful comp and nice colors, esp of the larger blossoms. It has a painterly feel to it which is hard to achieve. One minor thought is the darkening top portion may be too fading.

Beautiful, Kathy. Reminds me a lot of the look of Pat's images where he has really perfected his lighting and the use of the dark/black bg. Really good color on the blossoms and great clarity.

Its easy to forget that these flowers are members of the lily family. I think you have captured their different stages and nodding heads quite nicely in your composition. It seems you may be able to add a little more sharpening to the image if that is to your taste. :toast:

Kathy: This is my second favorite of this series (the last is still my favorite). Your lighting and exposure control are terrific. >=))> :toast:

Kathy:
Another excellent studio portrait. This one does not have the same punch or pop as the last one.

Love the diagonal lines and the way the blooms pop out against the black bg.

Lovely, simple composition, Kathy, which gives full weight to the flowers. There's a nice feeling about this, I think partly because of the composition but also the rich colour contrasts.
