Electric Storm
by Ron Richins
I had just finished shooting a sunset shot down at Two Medicine. Afterward I just sat on the beach until the light slowly dimmed. At around 10:30 I got up and went back to camp to sleep. When I got there, I noticed some lighting in the distance. The storm was happening on the other side of a mountain so I couldn't see it until I got back to camp. Also, it was so far away that I couldn't hear any thunder. So I got into my car and drove to a good vantage point.
This storm was incredible. Lightning was going off at least every second. This was one of the few I was able to capture with lighting outside of the cloud.

What a great moment in nature to have witnessed and captured - you'll have this one forever. Too bad the storm wasn't closer... but then again...
