I haven't posted much lately, because I've been in the mountains all summer, ands internet is hard to come by! The plus side though is that the photography has been superb! Last night, just as the sun was setting we had a storm come through, and the result was spectacular! There were two full rainbows, dark storm clouds, and blue sky all with the beautiful golden light of sunset. Hopefully I was able to capture some of the drama of scene! This is also the first image I've posted with my new(ish) 7D. I love it, and I must say, although equipment doesn't make a photographer, it was a huge step up, and has helped me a lot! Thank you in advance for your comments and critiques, and I promise, as soon as I am able, I will return to posting and commenting regularly! Thanks!

A double rainbow? Was it all the way?! What does that mean?

Sorry.. couldn't resist  (if you don't get the reference, you should fix that with the help of youtube).

So beautiful  I love the blue patch to counter balance the rainbow.

Wonderful way to photograph a rainbow. It really captures the moment. It's like the foundation for the clouds.

Nice one. Thanks for the commentary too. The touch of underlighting one the clouds is a lovely addition to the rainbows.

Very nice capture, Cam. And Floris is too funny for bringing the youtube "sensation" into the discussion. I got a chuckle out of that.

Mark, when I was photographing I thought the same thing, but when I got to the computer I wasn't sure which I liked better... I was going to post it separately, and I may still do so... Thanks for the feedback everyone!

You're kidding me--It aint even close, Cam--the repost not only has stronger color at the base of the rainbow, the ground gives a sense of place, AND its a terrific landscape to boot! (i figured you were hiding a boring house covered plain in the original). Your repost is a bigger improvement than Lon's was!
