That's how the threatening clouds broke just a few minutes later of my previous post. This is the Valnontey in the Gran Paradiso national park, with the Gran Paradiso walls and glaciers in the background.

Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

Techs: Eos 50D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, GND 4x, tripod. Stitched from 4 verticals

First comment after 54 views  Looks pretty good to me. I like how the river sweeps into the scene and carries me along. Perhaps the cloud-shrouded mountain isn't necessarily the most impressive destination, but the light is very good. I also like the textures in the clouds.

It's very intersting how this shot is so different than your other post. The river with its beautiful color is a major element in this composition. The hillside on the right helps lead the viewing in from the right side of the photo. I'm unsure about the composition of the river though. Although it does a great job of leading my eye in from the left side of the frame, my eye follows the river, and neglects the wonderful hillside on the right.

Maybe cropping a bit off the left will place more emphasis ont he green hillside. The more you crop from the left the less visual strength the river has, and the more visual strength the hillside gains. I'd be tempted to crop to a square.

Do those peaks in the background rise much into that cloud? I like the atmosphere in this, and the subtle hints of color in the sky. Nice colors in the river too, with an excellent chosen shutter speed. A very nice image that I'm sure will have incredible details when viewed large.

Beautiful river that pulls you right into the image. I like the dramatic and moody sky and the flowers in the foreground even though there aren't very many of them.

Very pretty Paolo, and excellent composition. I think I prefer your previous image a bit more due to the more dramatic sky, but both are wonderful and I would be proud to have each.

That's a gorgeous shot, the color and soft texture in the water really leads the eye through the scene

This one's even better. The light is great and I really appreciate those small details in the foreground on the large version.

There is a lot to like about your comp, Paolo. The stream is really nice and leads you to the clouds and mountain in the background. The larger version is even more dramatic, thanks for sharing.

Wonderful shot Paolo! That's an awesome looking river, and the lead into those peaks in the background makes me want to throw on my pack and get exploring.

I particularly like the way the lead in does not come from the near-ground but the river that begins at some distance from the camera. The way the color in the water is echoed again at the very top of the sky is also adding a lot despite appearing insignificant.

paolo, i prefer this to the previous post - this is wonderful. the river is an exceptionally powerful compositional element here and the rest, including the flowers in the lower righ corner fill in around it nicely. well done.
