These are Parrot Tulips. I had purchased a few of them at a garden center earlier this year and before planting them thought that I would give them my studio treatment:

Canon 5D Mark II, 100mm IS Macro, 1/13 sec at f/18, -1 stop exp, 4 light setup with litepanels

Terrific shot. Very expressive, colorful, and perfectly lit. Not quite as much personality as your Clematis shot from a while back, but quite enjoyable anyway.

This is just a stunning photo with just beautiful lighting. Its all about the light and this photo is a great example of what great light can do for a photo. Thanks for sharing.

Great lighting, razor sharp focus. I like the way you have the two flowers facing one another, and the background colors you got with you gels. I never gone beyond a single flash. Looks like you are on your way to mastering this technique Mike
