We had many dogwoods but alas all have died from disease. Miss them. Thanks for the memories. Great shot of a difficult flower to showcase.

Strong comp Bill and excellent subject/ground separation. Perfect whites and good detail as well. This certainly has a Spring mood to it for me. Don't know if that's from the color palette or the subject matter - maybe both. If I think of the two blooms with stems as a system, then what I perceive to be the center of mass is skewed a little to the right in the frame. Makes me feel like these could tip over and that creates tension for me as I look at the image. Don't know if that was your intention or not but I think it adds interest to the image. Or maybe I just haven't been awake long enough this morning. (smile)

Nice dogs, Bill. I agree with Patricia about this being a difficult flower to present, but you've done an excellent job with this and the previous post.

Bill, very nice composition and exposure on the whites, along with a perfect BG. Beautiful work.

Nice shot, Bill. It's very soothing, somehow. I do notice a bit of a horizontal line above the top petal of the left bloom, perhaps from cloning? It could be natural, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

I love these trees! And we don't have any of these around here, that I have seen. I really like the way they glow against the forest. This is a splendid portrait of their flowers with excellent interplay between the two, and on a dynamic diagonal. Excellent background and color.

Everything has been said, Bill - love these flowers which I am yet to see in person. I too like the composition moving along the diagonal.
No one has mentioned about the strong green color cast - may be my monitor or may be a natural coloration for the petals.

Don't have these in HK and so this is a special treat. Beautifully captured. I also see a faint green cast on my monitor.

You did a terrific job with this one. Always love the dogwood but never can seem to find that opportune moment with the right choice. Beautifully done.
