Really like the setting and DOF. Composition works for me and I like the one foot up pose. The bird looks like it might be slightly soft but it's hard for me to tell for sure at this size.

I agree with Ron's critique, my thoughts exactly. Looks like overcast lighting which is a fine choice for the contrasty bird. That's a lot of lichen on those rocks, so colorful. By "first", I assume we will be treated to "more" from the trip - hoping!

Beautiful image, Daniel & Loana. I like the raised foot and the rather pensive look.

Great capture - still looking for my first Puffin! Perhaps just another round of USM?

Congrats on your first puffin, this is a species I would love to see and photograph. I like the setting and the composition. The bird does seem a little soft, perhaps more selective sharpening is needed there. I especially like the raised foot and the lichens on the rocks.

Great image of one of my favorite birds. Nice soft BG. Maybe add a little bit more sharpening or possibly some saturation? It's hard to tell if it's a bit soft or needs a bit more punch.

Very nice : I like diffuse light and great sharpness. Setting is wonderful, and the hint of pace give shot dynamysm.
Waiting for more shots (and puffins ).
