Appears to be a fine pose and composition June. You will have to try and provide a larger image size for us to critique though as this is very small. The warm colors of the bird do look nice against the sky and clouds.

I am having a hard time getting it to be 500kb, not sure what I am doing, I will keep trying to enter a bigger photo.

Hi, June - really nice image! Looks like good handling of the whites, great colors, and interesting perch.
To post the full size allowed, there are instructions at the top of the page, under "Galleries", then "help!".
(I see now you already posted a larger image).
I'd suggest cloning out the bits of twig in the lower right.
Looking forward to more of your images!

Yep, you got it June, much larger. I don't know how many pixels the posted image actually is though, can be up to 200 kb. As far as suggestions go, maybe a little bit brighter, the perch branches are quite dark. Keep posting and commenting.

Thanks Gary and Sandy, comments well taken, I can not believe I missed cloning out the twigs on the bottom, guess I got too carried away with the one to the left, I cloned out half of the branch, it went practically right up to the chest.

Excellent, June. I think I agree that a little brighter would be nice. I like the composition.

So sorry the image is so small. The small images can be up to 720 pixels on the longest side and 200 kb in size.
The larger image can be 1200 pixels on the longest side and 500 kb in size.

Much better on the repost. I agree that the image is a little dark.
