One heck of a grab shot, Charlie. The positions of the birds line up nicely with the lines of the perch and make a great composition.

Another very interesting hummer squabble from you Charlie. Love the postures of both birds and your composition works perfectly for me in keeping the full horizontal branch in the frame without centering the birds horizontally. Perfect angle to show the action and get light in the eyes. If it were mine I might work on the background noise if you haven't already (that said, I prefer a little background noise to flash).

Wow. Very cool Charlie! Love the feet on the upper hummer and both bill positions.

I've missed your posts Charlie, good to see you back. Great action, love the nice catchlights in both birds, comp and especially the extension of the neck on the lower bird and the position of the feet of the upper one. I think Ron D's suggestion for a touch of NR on the background is solid.

Very cool the way the two hummers are interacting. Great even illumination on the subjects. I'm glad to see you posting again.

A great capture, Charlie. And a great composition.
Out of curiosity, did you use any NR? 1600 is pretty high even for the D700.
Cheers,
Carol

Terrific job getting all in focus and freezing the wingbeats. This is a tough shot to pull off.

Each pose would look good alone, together they are a stand out. I'd be tempted to apply NR to background.
