Another from my recent trip to the Isle of May. I toned down some guano on this one.

It is amazing how much they can cram into their bills. A wonderful behavior shot. I like the good comp and balance, and the complementing background.

Nice photo Ian...the pose and background are great! I might try to loose a little of the foreground rock. Other than that an excellent captrue!
This is a bird that's definately on my bucket list!

Excellent exposure on the Puffin Ian and I really like both perch and background. Personally I'd give the tail a smidge more room on the right but that may be just me. Very nice.

Nice, Ian. I don't know how they manage to catch so many fish at once. I like the soft light in this one.

Very cool, Ian. It amazes me how may fish they can cram into their bill at one time.

Nicely captured, Ian. Darker BG really works well with the colors of the puffin.

Ian,
I love how well the puffin stands out from the darker background, the large amount of sandeels in the bill, head angle, light in the eye and the lovely natural colors you have shown.

I look forward to your postings Ian, this puffin is really a treasure. The larger photo is wonderful, I love the comp. and pose, the rock's angle and the wonderful OOF BG. Congratulations, well done!

Love the simple setting and wonderful color palate. This would be a bird right at the top of my "must photograph in this lifetime" list. Hard to fault such a fine photo, but I would agree with Nate here, a little more room for the tail would be helpful.
