Cactus star

The clouds were a little weak on this particular morning, so I used the sun through a saguaro cactus to add some dramatic light. By stopping down my lens, does this star effect work on this image?

C&C welcome – Please see large version .Thanks

The golden light is wonderful. Great use and placement of the sunstar too.

Beautiful. The sunstar looks great, and just in the right place imo. The large version is so nice. I really enjoy the light and color you captured.

Star works great! That and the big saguaro makes for a strong element in that side of the frame

The atmospheric haze in this image provides a nice outline to the cactus on the left. Nice warm light with the sun star makes this a special image. Superb job Kyle.

Fabulous use of the sun star Kyle. It's perfectly placed, it's not overpowering and it really completes the image. I'm a little unsure about the blank sky in the UR, but the color gradient from white to blue as well as the secondary saguaro really minimize that. This is a beautiful and really, invigorating Sonoran desert landscape.

Backlighting is beautiful in the large image. I wonder what this would look like without much of the blue color in the UR portion of the sky? I kind of enjoy the featureless and colorless sky on the left in this instance. Well composed and captured!

Some beautiful light here. A blend to retain a small amount of color throughout the sky would be the only thing I can suggest doing differently.
