We're just back from a couple of weeks around Northern England and Scotland. This artic tern was one of the thousands we saw during one day spent on Farne Islands. A great experience. More photos will come.

Thanks for looking.

Nice wing position and I like the fish and obvious habitat. Composition and the size of the bird in the frame work well for me. I do wish we could see the eye - perhaps in a larger version it's more visible. I'm also wondering if the overall image might be ever so slightly on the dark side (could be wrong though).

Very well done, I like the dof you chose as it shows the habitat beautifully. The fish in the beak is a huge bonus to capture. Sounds like an incredible trip.

I love the setting, the prey in the bill, fanned out tail and the wing position. Overall the image seems a bit on the dark side to me, perhaps lightening it up a bit would improve the image and show the eye a little?

Nice capture, Daniel and Loana,

This almost looks like an oil painting.

Nice job.

Thank you all for the kind comments and suggestions. We appreciate them a lot.

We saw today the posted photo on different monitors and we agree that it can be a bit darker than what we see on our monitor.

In the large version the eye is more visible; maybe we can try to lighten it a little.

Thanks again

Nice to be able to get this beautiful Tern with food! It could be brighter.
