Spotted Bowerbird

One of four individuals that passed through our camp site on a daily basis in the hope of finding some scraps.

I removed one distracting blade of grass but left the others

Nice pose for this bird, Rob. We have a fine clear view of him. Lovely shades of brown combine beautifully. The large size image seems the same size as the regular size image?

I like the lighting, feather detail, BG and perch. I would have given the bird a little more room but that's a personal preference. Very nice as posted, Rob.

Nice image. I like all the similar tones and the perch is nicely matched to the bird. I would like a little more room on the left.

Interesting pose for a Bower bird, Rob. I've never seen one but have been reading about them recently.

Bird appears to be over-sharpened; there's a definite white line just above the bill.

Regards,

Carol

Another excellent photo Rob. I really like this pose, the muted colors, technically perfect of course. :toast:

Nice perch and pose, I would clone out the oof grass that intersects the base of the tail. A real beauty Rob.

Great shot Rob. I find the one long grass strand on the left of the perch somewhat distracting but I'm not much of a cloner myself so I may well have left it also. Nice soft colors in this one. :toast:

Rob:
It looks like an Audubon painting. I don't know how you always get BG colors that are perfect fits for th bird, and such nice perches.

I really like both bird and setting Rob. Marginally tight on the tail perhaps but I don't find anything distracting. I like this very much.

Rob,

The color combination, pose, perch and background are all wonderful. A little more room by the tail would strengthen the comp, but that is just my personal taste. Love the eye contact.
