Hi all,
It's been quite a while since I've posted over here in fauna but I thought I would share a few images I took earlier this year. This shot was taken on our Malheur trip, there are 2 groups of Wild Horses in the region. This shot was taken very early in the morning as we were driving out to the Sage Grouse lek. It's cropped a little bit from the bottom and right for comp.

MkIII 500F4 1/50 F4, iso 1000, handheld panning out the car window.

I love the implied bur and how it appears that it's floating across the sky... a nice take on a popular subject

I like most the strong sense of movement conveyed here Nate.
Love the way the morning backlight worked in your favor too..
Well composed & great technique - great results :toast:

Nie job of panning on this horse Nate. I really like the large BG with blur. It gives a real feel of movement and how fast these animals are.

Foot/leg position and the flowing mane and tail are near perfect. I like the angle of light for some rim light effect. In a perfect world I would have liked the horse to be a little larger in the frame, given that this is more about the horse than the landscape, but given the limitations of real life situation and equipment, I think you maximized the opportunity. Thanks for sharing this very pleasing capture.
