WC440 - Frosty Blues #3

A very cold day (-30°F) on Thompson Pass, Alaska. The hoar frost was on everything, even covering the freshly fallen snow from the day before. Some very hardy critter had made a dash throught the frost and snow to the base of the battered old spruce tree. It looked to be about the size of a parka squirrel which would be unusual that time of year.

Since it was 102 degrees today here in CO, i am definitely liking this shot, Gary!
This is totally beautiful, but i have to confess that if that tree were missing, i think it would be even stronger (basically all white/blue).

I agree totally with Stan this this is a very likable capture, but I would like it even more without the tree.
