Mike - got the exact same shot yesterday but with the bird on top of the vegetation - excellent image and crazy sharp.

Michael:
I like the inquisitive look, the smooth BG, the nice perch and the excellent detail and colors. Nicely done.

Very nice image. I like how understated the colors are in this.

If you have more space on te right I'd add it in; otherwise I might crop a little from the left to move the swallow off center.

Beautiful composition, Michael. I do find myself wishing for enough dof to put that whole grass head in focus, but that might have messed up the bg too. Excellent image. :toast:

beautiful, Mike. great details, bg pose, and perch. only minor nit for me is I wish the grass wasn't touching the bill tip.

Good capture. Very nice perch. Still has gape, I see; must be very recently fledged.

Nicely done Michael. Some of the better detail I've seen on the darks of the species. I agree with Richard's comp suggestion for the reason he mentioned.

Michael,

The pose of the bird, the light, details and setting really make the image for me. You did an excellent job of getting the details to show in the dark feathers. I agree with Richard's crop suggestions.

Fine work.
