Another view of the upper lake of Fusine Valromana nearby Tarvisio in Friuli, Italy, with Mount Mangart in the background. This one was taken at sunset, which means about 45 minutes earlier than my previous post. I started taking a few "more ordinary" pics of this scene, then I noticed that the clouds were swirling in the wind and I thought I'd try a very long exposure in order to record the motion. This is - as usual - a stitch of four vertical takes.

Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

Techie: Eos 50D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, B+W 110 ND filter (1000x), GND 8x + GND 4x, tripod. 90" @ f8 for each frame

Thanks for your comment, Matt, I'm pleased you like it. Here's one of those "more ordinary" views I mentoned above. Taken about 10 minutes earlier, stitched from 5 verticals.

Paolo,

I really enjoyed viewing this especially at the BIGGER size! :toast: Color, reflection and everything is very nice in this scene!

The only thing that bugs me just a little is that the reflection looks a little brighter (at least in certain areas) than the upper portion.

I love this kind of scenery and you have done a great job with it. Stitching is great. I am bothered by one thing beyond your control--the square light green area and reflection on the right at the waters edge. That just seems so out of place and it jumps right out at me. It might even be worth trying some cloning. I know that would be too much alteration for some people. With images like this I am so much more inclined to some day visit Italy.

You have an amazing knack for doing these long-exposure panos so seamlessly. Great composition and light. I would echo the comment about the lightness of the reflection but I think lightening the top of the sky would also help balance it out more too.

What a beautiful scene! Very nice light captured here as well. This looks just a little less crisp than most of your other stuff to me. To be real picky, the open area of green breaking up the far shoreline is kind of a distraction.

Very pretty scene. As much as i admire your stitiches, i think theres too much here--id crop the far right exposure which doesnt add much to the scene and introduces the distracting green rectangle. Otherwise, this is great.

Another nice view into the Alps, Paolo. Again this one feels a little soft and I don't remember that having been an issue in your images before. I also was immediately drawn to that rectangular meadow shape on the right - looks very man-made to me and thus moves the image a little away from the natural feel about it.

Beautiful Paolo - and good to see you posting. I like the scene very much. A lot of stuff to explore. I see this hut that Andreas mentions, but it is not a big deal for me.

Amazing where all these incredible mountain reflections are coming from lately. This wonderful. I know you would lose some of the sky color reflection, but the comp 'feels' better to me cropping a little off the bottom, just above the small central rock, which I find a little distracting and with too much less interesting space below the other rocks.

This is fantastic Paolo! I just love seeing the beautiful wilderness of my favorite overseas country. One day I shall return to Italy in hopes of seeing some of these places. For now I will just enjoy them through your wonderful creations.

Perfect capture of the clouds and their reflection. Lots of captivating shapes from foreground back. The green rectangle is unfortunate.

Paolo,

Both are wonderful alpine images; the top post with the later color being my favorite.

Already been mentioned, but I'm somewhat distracted by the clear-cut area at the far side of the lake. Even looks like a road and possibly buildings in the clearing (would make sense considering the forest has been cleared.) But not so much the evidence of man, it's really inconsequential here, but that area creates a nice little square that just doesn't seem to belong. I love the scenery and it's a beautiful image, but my eye keeps gravitating over there.

Glad to see another image Paolo!
