Lost in time

I went this past weekend to visit a place where my grandparents lived and where I spent a few summers as a child. The weather was overcast most of the time and I hoped for conditions like this one pictured here. A heavy rain during the night made the magic happening the following morning.
The landscape recreated in front of me at every 2-3 seconds. It was amazing to see it in person. Thanks for looking and congrats for the great photography I saw lately at NPN.

Love it Dorin, huge fan of moody images like this. Just enough detail in a handful of the trees to hold interest, and lots of atmosphere. Great work.

Wonderful image Dorin. I especially like how the central trees are wrapped in a blanket of heavier fog. Very nice mood with just the right amount of detail in my book.

This works suprisingly well! Don't get me wrong - it is beautiful and offers a very interesting interplay of elements. But it could also have been a bit boring I think if captured with the wrong combination. The fact that the trees in the centre are visible and the fog frames them so nicely makes this look composed deliberately (which it was I am sure). I hope it makes sense what I am trying to say..;-) Very well made mate!

Thanks, guys. Dietrich, I was specifically after this almost 3d look during the 2 hour fog display. This, and one other occasion came closest. The conditions were changing so rapidly that I almost missed this one.

I really enjoy your composition here with the group of more defined and interesting trees somewhat in the center and being enveloped by the fog. The atmosphere you recorded is like every day here in Juneau.
