Morning Delight

I guess it's time I buy a new field guide, for I can't find this wildflower/weed in the one I have. I took this photo early morning while the dew was still quite heavy. I used the sun for back-lighting the flower and the large dots in the bokeh of the BG is dew drops from the weeds behind the subject. I normally don't like that look but I'd like to hear other opinions on this.
Canon 7D, Manual Exposure with tripod, 1/800sec, F/2.8, ISO 100, Canon 100mm macro.
Thanks for looking and all C&C welcomed.
Large version added.

John: Wonderful lighting and I like the bokeh. I can't help on the ID but I certainly like the subject and the party crasher. I do think I would clone away whatever that is on the tip of the lower bud. Nice find and a fine capture. >=))>

John:
I am a sucker for backlighting and it has worked well with image creating this glow around the flowers and stem. It also highlights the patterns on the flowers. Well seen and captured.

Really nice rim lighting! I would lose the spider/mosquito as well. A very nice comp and beautiful color as well.

John, it looks like a Bladder Campion, but the calyx is throwing me for a loop, as the ones I see in literature are pinkish in color. The basal leaves look like what I see in the literature. Whatever it is, your capture is beautiful. I didn't see the party crasher at first. To remove or not remove? It is a part oif nature. But a zit on your portrait. I like the composition with the diagonal stem and subject. :toast:

John, was just looking through one of my Michigan wildflower field guides, and came across White Campion or Evening Lychnis - Lychnis alba, in the Pink family, Caryophyllaceae. Looks like your Morning Delight. Still looking for my unsub.

John, Looks nice to me, specially the rim lighting. I always find those OOF highlights interesting. If anything a small crop from the top may strengthen the photo. :toast:

I like the backlighting, it's well done. I agree that just a bit should come off the top, and the large dots are up for grabs..It will depend on the viewer..Us less sophisticated types kinda like it
Well done :toast:
