(My wife's favorite drink) Thanks for all your comments on my Glacier post. This is a follow up of the same Glacier, but more of in your face abstract shot. The over cast day really brings out the blues. We only had one day at Perito Moreno Glacier. I was very lucky to come home with a lot of nice image.

C&C welcome please see large version.

Quite a "cool" abstract Kyle! I really like the structures and patterns. Well composed!

Seeing some of the upper surface textures of the glacier just makes me want to see more of them. While the intense blues of the face are impressive, they don't hold my attention for very long. The dark striations reaching up from the bottom are interesting, but they don't play a big enough role in the composition to hold it together in my opinion.

I think this is more of a documentary shot than one that is going to hold one's attention too long. Some appealing aspects, including the colours and textures but not enough compositionally to hold my interest.

Kyle,

Great nature abstract. The lack of something to give this scale makes this very intriguing - this could be a quartz, crystal type rock, or a huge glacier as you captured. Colors are wonderful as well. I'm not suggesting this to really improve anything, but by cropping the top background out, the mystery of scale really goes up and looks more like a closeup of quartz or something. Anyway, that's just for fun. Great job zooming in and capturing this intimate view of the huge face of this glacier.

Kyle, glad to see you posting on NPN. I don't think this one is as strong as the last glacier image you posted but this is a very nice abstract nonetheless. This area has been on my list for years, I've got to get down there!
