These Western Spiderwort are also known as "Dayflowers" as they only bloom for one day. New buds bloom the next day. I am captivated by their wonderful yellow stamens and the blue to purple petals.

Others have already commented on the complementary colors and nice light. I've got these growing in my own garden, and they are a challenge to photograph. Nice job here.
