Witch Hobble

For years I've wanted to get a good shot of this species of viburnum in bloom. It tends to bloom on the early side of spring "green up" and I've never quite hit right. On the particular outing I had just finished shooting some waterfall comps and on the way back to the car noticed this elegant little bough hanging over the stream. It was dead calm and the light was very low necessitating a multi-second exposure. I felt it worked better as a black and white. Thanks for looking.

I love the tones and comp but feel the midtones could be a shade lighter just to bring out the textures in the leaves a little more....

Very sweet and lovely image. I like the delicate details here but feel there could be even more as some of the highlights are a little too bright.

I like this a lot. I find that leaf protruding in from the ULC distracts from the subject a bit.

Looks like the work of an Adams with the extremely sharp detail. Nice work Kurt!

Kurt,

This not only a very strong image, it's simply just lovely. I really like the uniform, nearly black background; which gives a good range of tone with the mid-toned leaves and white flowers. No nits or suggestions. Beautifully seen and captured.
