Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/30 @ f16

No, I haven't made an ID mistake, rather the title reflects the conditions and the subject. I think these are my favorite day lilies and the way the light hits them at dawn always gives me opportunities. All comments welcome.>=))>

Gereat shallow depth of field Bill, and you have to love that backlight's glow.

I think this shot is one of the best I've seen of the pistens/stamens, Bill. You're right....the morning light is glory for sure! Lovely lighting and great detail on the stamens. This is wonderful.

Great comp and beautiful light Bill. Perfect dof and sharp as a tack at focus point. You must have been close though to get that softness in the petals at f/16. I think I'm impressed with the lens and the operator of course.

The first thing I thought looking at your beautiful photo is the dress of a bride. It's so filmy and romantic with the mix of warm pink and orange.Photographically, the best prise of the photo is, for me, the great depth, the space created by the lines running away diagonally from all the four angles. An emotive, beautiful image, Bill.
A lot of excellent photos this week!
Cheers.
