Congrats on catching an old-timer Russ. I drive by a lot of these and think I really should photograph them because they are a dying fixture of the landscape, but I never do.

Nice subject, and interesting sky. The centered comp works, although I'd like to know if you shot any other comps.

Hi Russ,

I like a lot. Its a beautiful barn and wonderful mood. I suggest darkening up the grass and barn to match the mood in the sky.

The barn looks overly bright, would suggest reducing the levels there to match the brooding sky.

Russ, I really like the lighting on the barn and the dark couds in the background. If only these old barns could talk!

Thanks for the feedback guys. The light on this scene was somewhat unusual. The barn was in the full light of the sun in late afternoon, while the background was under heavy clouds. I shot a couple of dozen images from every angle around the barn and different distances to the subject. I have several that I like. This one has very little processing beyond some basic adjustments. Yup, if only this barn could talk. It has seen many a hard winter and lots of stories, I'm sure.
