This cascade is definitely smaller and even closer at home than the first one, 60 miles not 6000.

40D 10-22 @17
f16 0,8 sec
ISO 100

Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

Rugged scene, but well captured. I think a crop just below the sky would remove the distracting bright sky. I also wonder if a crop off the bottom to just above the stick might tighten up the whole image.

Yea I agree with Rob that tightening up the comp top and bottom would make a stronger image. Seems a little "cluttered" with nowhere to draw your eye.

You know, I've always wanted to get a shot like this using the long exposure..
Just one of those things on my to do list
I see the other valid suggestions, so enough said.
We're all learning here, no matter what level you're at.

Hi, Monica-
I sure wouldn't want to be the one trying to hike through this mess of boulders! I can feel my ankles straining as I look at this! So, in my view, the image has documentary appeal. But I think overall the little stream loses its place as attention-getter because of the wide angle view- all those huge boulders, the sky, no definite pattern to anything. Try simplifying the composition a bit more maybe.

Hey, if you get one at 6 miles and one more at 600, you can have a real neat series
I really like this, it has a nice "earthy" feel to it, like something you are surprised to find on a walk in the woods.
