Thanks for the comments on my last post! Here's an image from a few minutes later after the light faded a bit. I went with the corny title because I feel it fits the image. I know these types of images often get mixed opinions, and I'm curious to hear yours.

ISO 100, 24mm, f/22, 140 seconds. Laptop processed...

Thanks for looking and commenting! :jump:

Alex,

The 'ghostly' clouds and the purple mystical light are very appealing. I tried to find a crop that would pull those key elements into tighter cohesion, but it doesn't quite work. As much as I love the light, the composition just can't compete and so the image feels like it lacks something. Maybe a framing tree or a figure out on a ridgecrest? It's beautiful, but not quite on par with your other work which is outstanding.

Wonderful mood and soft lighting Alex. I like the colour too.

Alex,

Wonderful, dark and eerie mood here. What I really notice and like though is the last moment hint of color in the sky and how the clouds almost seem to radiate out. Although this works beautifully as presented, I'm wondering about a crop of the foreground as an alternative. This already has a somewhat narrow presentation and I think going all the way to a pano could work too. Either way, captured beautifully.

Oh I like this one! There is a very soft look which I find very appealing. The composition is well done too. Only the lower half is a tad dark in my opinion. I know it is intentional, but just a bit more of structure could help I think.
