This is a repost of one of my favorite Tricolor images from last year. Unfortunately, Bayou Sauvage hasn't produced a single image of one of them this year. Shot 9/05/09. Large image also provided.

Olympus E-3 ZD300 F2.8 +EC14 Wimberley I, ISO200 1/320 f5 0.0EV

I like the detail very much. The reflection is great. If a lower angle was possible, it would have been good, as long as you were able to keep the reflection.

Very nice Bill - I would normally like a much lower perspective but this works for me due to the reflection. :toast:

Really nice reflection. A lower angle mentioned, but a minor nit. Sharon

Bill,

I loved this image when you posted it originally and this time I love that you posted the larger version, the detail & sharpness are outstanding in it.

Bill, this is just terrific! I love the detail ad sharpness of this shot and the reflection is superb! My only nit (and it could just be my work monitor...if so,please forgive me), is the coor seems a bit flat. It looks like this needs a levels adjustment and some contrast. Personally, I think it would send this over the top and make it a front runner for EP.

Great shot! Living in the Northeast, I've only seen a handful of these and no juvies that I can recall. What great plumage and you captured it very well. The intense stare is captivating. :toast:
