Autumn flower

Recently returned from the South Island of New Zealand during Autumn. Perhaps the best Autumn colour is seen in the historic mining town of Arrowtown, about 20 minutes from Queenstown. Here the golden leaves are in the background, but can anyone help me identify this flower?? I thought maybe a lupine? All comments appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Winnie,

Sorry I can't help with the id but I don't think it's lupine. Beautiful colors in this and I like the space in the image. Also the warm mood. Very appealing.

What a background for this lonely, past prime flower. Striking color combination and presentation! Well seen and it has wonderful impact. :toast: :toast:

Winnie: I'm not familiar with Oz flora but it certainly has lupine like characteristics. Brilliant comp and DOF control. Terrific image. >=))>

Great BG color, and nice isolation Winnie. Very pretty lighting too.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I think I might have to post on an Australian forum to see if anyone knows what this flower is. Cheers.
