Lovely bird Mike - these guys are probably my favorite bird. No nits except it looks a little over saturated on my monitor. It could be my monitor though because my calibration tool broke...

I know, it looks a bit hot, but I actually desaturated it! The bird was not in the sun, either. This was taken in a bit of shade, with no fill flash! I was quite suprised!

Very nice Mike. Love the perch. It makes a nice contrast with the bird.

The bird is highlighted well by the BG. The horizontal perch across the entire lower frame works well.
Nice capture.

Beautiful shot! The colors of the bird really show up great against that dark green background. Really nice one!

Very nice, Mike. Color and detail look great to me. I considered suggesting a vertical crop but I think it's fine as is mainly because you are able to include the very end of the branch. Don't ask me to explain that but that's my impression! :toast:

Love the eastern bluebird and this is a wonderful setting with a great BG and nice DOF. The bird seems just a tad high-key to me and may benefit from a little selective darkening or just burning slightly. Otherwise really nice.

Michael,

Love the comp and how the bluebird stands out so well from the greens of the background, I also enjoy the way the branch the bird is perched on curves to the edge of the frame. Well done.
