I just returned from teaching a 3 day workshop in the Palouse with Kevin Mcneal, and Adrian Klein. We had an amazing 3 days full of amazing light and atmosphere. There were 14 of us total, and everyone had a blast. This is just the first of many images from this trip. We also ran into Chip Phillips who will be joining us in teaching this workshop June 2011. Good times!

This is 3 exposures blended by hand using my advanced HDR techniques in CS5.

5D II
70-200L f/4 + 1.4 extender + Polarizer
3 exposures, f/18, ISO 160

My son and I attended the workshop. Zack, Kevin, and Adrian were outstanding instructors, and were so much fun to hang out with. Zack demonstrated his Photoshop skills and in my opinion, is a Photoshop master, as can be seen by this beautiful image. Thanks Zack.

great. like an ocean with giant rolling waves of greenery.
the sky looks a bit odd for my taste (too yellow) but this is purely subjective. on another day I might like it just fine...
(you wasted no time in getting CS5, eh?)

Gorgeous Zack! The golden glow and the highlighted curves of the hills are amazing. I might suggest a slight crop off the left as there isn't as much of the gold light on the hills over there and it would get the mountains in the distance off of center.
