Talus reflection on Bow Lake at the base of Crowfoot Mountain, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada. The turquoise water of the lake imparts some of its color to the reflection.

Thanks for having a look and appreciate any comments and critiques.

Canon 24-70mm at 70mm
ISO100 1/45sec f/16
SR LB Color Combo Polarizer turned to maximize reflection.

I like it Eva - have you considered a pano crop - I think that will be even stronger (may be a personal preference, but I tend to like pano crop on these type of reflection abstracts)

Very neat shot Eva, almost looks like an abstract at this size. Wonderful details in the upper portion. Nice eye.

Great use of vertical lines in this photograph! The set to the right kind of pulls my eye out the frame, but that's certainly not a big hindrance as there's pleny of other detail throughout to pull my eye back in.

I'm a big fan of reflections and this one is just wonderful. My only suggestion would be a slight right crop to balance it a bit, but it's an IMHO. The shot is great the way it is.

Beautiful line and texture Eva. Love the split between the clarity of the shoreline and the reflection. Real nice.

I would love to see this printed as large as you can make it! There is an immense amount of small detail that has to suffer in the posting here.

Totally cool, Eva. At first I thought I was looking down from space. I really like this. Does anyone else see a dog swimming with it's nose underwater (however unlikely that might be)?

You sure its not a raccoon Tony? Great shot Eva and the slight tinge sets this apart from others that might be similar. Nicely seen.

Here is a pano version Arnab.

Tony - I do see a dog! This could be the spirit of my old Chocolate Lab Misty. She did swim with her noise under water (or seaweed) looking for fish. One day at Walden Pond, she noticed a couple of dogs having fun trying to catch some tiny fish. Ever since then, until the day she died, any body of water she happened upon, she would look for fish with her nose under water. Maine, Walden Pond, or the vernal pool near our home. Not a very good pic, but here she is http://evamcdermott.zenfolio.com/p842810190/hdb062db# with her yellow eyes. http://evamcdermott.zenfolio.com/p842810190/hdb062db#h1abe2228
Sorry Anthony, I do see a dog and not a racoon. ....I am a dog person. Always had one, always will.

Also want to thank everyone for their comments and critiques. Very much appreciated.

My vote is for the uncropped version. I'm not a huge fan of the colors in the scene, but I'm sure they mean more to someone who has been there.

Fantastic Eva. A large scale abstract that is incredible. The lines, color, and tones as well as your superb composition really make this special. Saw the pano crop but do prefer the original. Love it.

Beautiful image Eva! Great lines coming down the slope and I like the subtle green tone to the reflection so it doesn't look exactly like a mirrored image. I definitely prefer the original to the cropped version, I think those strong vertical lines are important to the image.

Incredible details in this! I like the colors for their unusual tones. I think the u ncropped works best because it conveys the immense scale of the scene better. Very nice!

Eva,

This is fantastic! Now I haven't read all the comments yet, so this may be repetitive. Initially it's hard to absorb the color differences, but imagining the original color of the water, this is quite understandable. The symmetry allowed by the perfect reflection simply makes for a wonderful image. Great eye and capture.

This is one of those shots where the thumbnail does it no justice. The view on this page is pretty impressive, but when you view it in the larger size, it's downright amazing. The texture in the background is very impressive, especially when coupled with the trees that are dwarfed by the hillside in the background.

I do like the pano crop.
