Sweet shot Charles. Fantastic detail in the flower and bee. I really like your DOF/POF choice. Great BG also.

Good detail in the bee. I'll bite, why is the bee french?

Why do you assume it's the bee that's the gardener? No, the bee is pretty important to this image but it isn't the subject. Not the only one, anyway. The bee is just the fuzzy bit at the top, so to speak. It's the whole thing. The bumble bee, the plant (an aster, BTW), and even that bright stem behind, along with the smudge of blue in the lower right (his lower back) that's the gardener. The flower (and bee) being a wide-brimmed hat. I see him (or her) on his knees, which are below the frame, and the bright stem being the left arm..

In an alternative view, I really just couldn't not see that bright stem and the way the leaves and sepals of the plant frame the top of it from looking to me like the nylon stocking on a woman's leg.

Of course, I kinda doubt that anyone else is going to see that. For me to do it I have to mentally flatten the image. Lose the 3D aspect by not concentrating on the details and merge the foreground, subject and background. It helps me with composition.

You always have such interesting titles. Very nice shot all around, from the background right up to the detail on the subject. Could punch up the saturation a bit, but that's a matter of personal taste and this is certainly adequate.

Charles, Great details on the flower and the bee. Looks all nice to me. The stuff in the left corner could have been avoided in an ideal scenario.

Wonderful capture Charles, I like how the bee is positioned over the flower, and the bg colors are a perfect match
