...A patch of Blue Zephyr's to cram in.

I recently planted my Blue Zephyr Brachycome hybrids and they are already doing well enough to get in some shooting. Oh, how I love summer!

This is different than most of my Blue Zephyr crams, but I liked the solitary flower and the slight purple haze at the bottom of the shot.

I left this as a full frame to see if anyone has any crop thoughts. I like the bits of petals at the bottom that are recognizable, so I did not want to crop there necessarily, but I wanted your ideas.

Any and all thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Nathan

What a lovely portrait of this flower Nathan, I love the skyward view and the overall simplicity in the design.

Sweet image Nathan. I like it as is, in fact, for me this one is near the top of the list. Great comp (I really like your placement of the lone flower). The hint of petals at the bottom adds so much, definitely wouldn't want to crop that out. And the bright area to the left of the flower, I find that somewhat mysterious. The flower catches my eye, then I'm drawn into the image by that spot. Anyway, IMO, great capture.

Beautiful display Nathan. The flower has a nice glow to it. I don't see where a crop is necessary. I like the blurred flowers at the bottom also.

Beautifully composed soft high-key image here Nathan. The lone blossom rising above the others is just great.

Splendid, Nathan. I like the colors and the position of the main subject.
It's a very worthy cram.

I agree, this is perfect as is. The prominence of the flower in the frame and the lovely lavender hue really work nicely. Can also see many other options and I hope you will share them with us. :toast:

Wonderful colours, great POV.

I wouldn't crop it. The BG is perfect and I would leave it as it is.

Congrats

Nathan,
Absolutely gorgeous as-is! I suppose if you had to, you could squeeze it into a 5x7 format by shaving a little off the left, and less off the right, but why mess with perfection?

Really beautiful Nathan. The composition for me is perfect as it is. What do you think about lowering a bit the central high light and rising its latent blue zephyr color? Splendid simplicity, specially for a cramming photo.
Cheers.

This is one of the best crams I have seen Nathan. The only suggestion I would have is print it large and hang it on the wall. Jack
