Juvenile Brown Bears III
by Neil Rossmiller
This precocious trio were great fun to be around. They were the smallest of the youngsters out on their own, but they had strength in numbers. Their antics always seemed to lead to some sort of mischief. Here they are watching another larger bear and, I think, sizing up the threat. As soon as the threat passed, they would resume their almost nonstop wrestling. The blond was especially bold and her two brothers always had her back.

What I like most about this image is that it leaves me thinking "Ok, so what happened next?", i.e., I love the anticipation of pending action. The lighting is nice and you balanced highlights and shadows very well (at least to my eye). I also like that there's pretty much only one in-focus to out-of-focus gradient from foreground to background (excluding a tiny out-of-focus zone in the extreme foreground). And, last but not least, I like that the 3 amigos are all focused on something, and that something is not you! I suppose more visible eyes would have helped a little, but pretty much impossible for that with this lighting!
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
