I spent Sunday walking around the "Great Dismal Swamp" NWR. I was almost carried away by mosquitos! There were a great many Warblers, and I was lucky enough to catch this very patient Prothonotary Warbler down low, out of the canopy.

beautiful, Mike. great singing pose, great setting. The bird is a little centered for me, and I might do a little more sharpening, but those are very minor.

Very nice presentation. Love the singing pose. Great BG. Bird is a bit centered for my tastes. Looking at the larger image, the head isn't quite sharp. I'm guessing a little selective sharpening would solve most of the issue. Thanks for sharing this one.

Nice clean shot with a beautiful BG.
It not that easy to get clean shots of warblers. So you captured a beauty here.
I agree with some of the Nits.
Nice singing pose :toast:

Nice pose, Mike and a great complementary bg. Nits already mentioned, but I don't know what else you had to deal with in the frame. If it holds up for a bit more crop, you could take advantage of the steep perch and do a vertical crop. :toast:

I have to agree about the positioning and sharpening mentioned previously but this is certainly a well captured pose on a beautiful bird. I like the rich colours of the background which show up the bird to good effect. Graham
