Alone in the storm

I went to the edge of Riyadh city here in Saudi Arabia in search of something to keep my camera shutter working (I am afraid it will jam from less shooting these days :frown: ) I was very happy to see couple of beautiful clouds around :jump: but as soon as I reach the place I want to photograph I was welcomed by a very bad sandstorm :frown: I return with 2 shots here is one of them. Honestly, not sure about it but here it is anyway.

i rather like it - soft colours and atmospheric. not sure that all that sand will do anything for your shutter! not sure as well about the placement of the tree - you might have experimented with different compositions and placements and found some that challenge our sensibilities!

Well, if lack of photography doesn't jam the shutter, all this dust might. Certainly like how you used it to isolate the tree in this scene.

Nice shot, the sandstorm definitely added to it, imo. I'm wondering about a BW conversion...

The feeling of being in a duststorm is well captured here. The fact that the horizon line is obscured really adds to the sense of isolation. Good job.

I like it a lot - very soft and attractive. The muted colors work well here.

I like the story that plays out here Mohsen
The habitat the tree resides in against its elements.

Great simplicity. For me the tree seems to have a lean to the right and I would prefer the placement more to the left. The sand and atmosphere adds such a great atmosphere.

Looks like a very harsh environment, especially for camera gear. The blowing sand really adds to the image.

Great shot - I have to agree with those that suggest the tree be just a bit to the left or right to give it more interest and space (rule of thirds...)

Very very nice. I like how the dust has given you an almost blank background and made this so minimalist.
