Welcome to NPN. Unfortunately, I cannot see the image - all I'm getting is a red X where the image is supposed to be.

The thumbnail looks great, but I can't see the image either! Maybe try uploading again?

I couldn't see the image before but I can now and quite a striking image it is. The calmness and mood is excellent. I like the overall feel of the shot and the deep blues look great.
Gary.

Ah, yes... I had to use Danny's trick to see it, but it is an amazing shot!

Incredible Alexandre! I love the surreal and dark mood here, really beautiful work. The dark peak in the distance adds a lot to the scene. Welcome to NPN!
I'm not sure what the issue is with the image not showing, I had the same problem. I've edited your post with a direct link that will hopefully work (I cannot edit the image source, unfortunately).

Ah yes, after using Danny's trick I can now see it. Beautiful shot - looks so quiet and lonely - well captured.

Tres beau, Alexandre!! I looked at your website and the photos from Iceland you took remind me so much of George King Island in Antarctica! Great photos! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!

That is one remarkable image! Too bad about the problems posting it . . . but just as you say, it has an otherwordly feel that is quite magical.

I like the shot overall and it has a nice dark feel to it, which looks great presented here. Iceland is a fantastic location - a really special unique place. I'm not sure about the reflection as it seems a lot lighter than the darkness in the sky. Welcome to NPN and look forward to some more of your work from Iceland - you have some wonderful work on your website.

but the images in the link are fantastic. Did you process these as black and white then add a blue tone or is this the natural lighting?

Alexandre: Love the way the ash adds dimension to the ice and given the way things are happening there now it's like it was taken yesterday!

Alexandre,
What a fabulous first post! Welcome to NPN and the ES&S Gallery. I'm not sure why the link to your image isn't working, hopefully next time it will work better.
I really like the cold, almost sterile mood here; and the touch of color really makes a difference here as well. Also, great use of the foreground element and the near/far composition. this is just great all the way around.
Thanks for sharing and we look forward to your images and participation.

Really spectacular image, like an alternate world. My only nit is maybe a little too strong grad, the top seems a bit dark - but I still love it. Saw a few of your other glacial images- absolutely incredible stuff!

Very nicely captured scene. It does look like there is some banding in the water (or maybe just ripples, can't tell).
