D300 200-400mm @ 340mm F8 1/1250 ISO1000 Noise reduction

Local loon image taken in early AM just after sunrise. In addition to the pose, I liked the ripple reflections showing in the white of the underside of the wings

This is beautiful...a photo I dream of! I would like to see the head a little lighter to bring out that eye some more. The whites look great and the water is gorgeous. Sharon

Very pretty, I like everything about it. I too wish the red eye would be a bit more prominent but it is great as is. :toast:

Beautiful shot Bob. The colours are very nice and the pose is to die for.

Good shot, Bob. Perhaps you can lightening a bit the BG to give more relief to the head of the bird, otherwise it is really a terrific image and the reflections in the water are super! I appreciate in particular the larger version.

This is an exquisite image. The loon seems to light up from within. The symmetry is perfection! Dottie

I like the pose and the water Bob. I too wish the eye stood out a bit more.

Great POV and a dynamic pose, I like it. Difficult subject in the apparent available light, but you managed it well. Perhaps some minor tweaking would improve the contrast to BG, and help it stand out more?
Well done :toast:
