I wonder what they are saying?
I'm with you Lon, sometimes it's unavoidable to give them human characteristics.
This was shot in Samburu National Park in deep shade.

Canon D30 Canon 400 2.8 w 2ex 1/180th @ f6.7 Iso 200

Thanks for looking.
Comments always welcome.

Stunning picture and wel cropped. I find it difficult to get a satisfactory picture of Impala. This one came out great.

Hi Neil, this reminds me of a famous photo of one of my favorite photographers, Richard du Toit as it shows the same scene. And you know what, it's almost as good  I like this a lot, but would have liked to see this a bit wider, including the ears. But maybe I am just 'biased' with Richard's image in my mind. The colors btw look a bit too yellowish for impala skin, which normally does have some more red in it, but that's a minor 'nit'. :toast:

Excellent composition to my eye … the colours blend so nicely. Very pleasing to the eye.

Hi Neil,

A very nice intimate scene. I'm a fan of well-executed tight portraits and I quite like this one - the apparent interaction of the two impala (which fits well with your caption) really makes the shot for me. I also quite like the colour palette, including how that background works so well with the subjects. I like this a lot...

Cheers...

Thanks for the input everyone.

I completely agree, Still a work in progress in that regard. If I had captured this in raw, several technical issues could have been overcome easier. My experience working on these older JPGS is making my raw capture post production all the better. I would recommend it to anyone that didn't start out shooting RAW, you'll be better for it!
Thanks again for taking the time to look and comment, Greatly appreciated!
