This is a re-post of my latest deer. After some helpful suggestions, this what I came up with. I hope that this fills the bill and is a better picture. Still learning and I love the help!

Jack, to my eye the color is now quite natural!

That is a nice looking 4 point buck, Jack. I dont know that I saw the other one but this looks good. The color looks nice and the deer is nice and sharp. I also think this comp works well.
Looks good!

Nice color and comp. This image really shows how deer, and wildlife in general, really blend into their environment.

Compared to the first post the coloration and saturation in this image look a lot more natural Jack. Great work. Good to hear and see that people are learning in these forums that is what NPN is all about! :toast:

This image depicts how even though an adult deer does not have a cryptic coloration, it blends into it's environment really well. Giving it at least some protection againts predators. I think this could actually sell to any publisher trying to emphasize that.
Normally, if you want to make the deer stand out, you can line up his head with a darker or more contrasty background (as I see you've done on some other images, now that I went through your gallery). But you did good here!
:toast: :jump:

BTW, the color on the last one isn't too bad, but I like this one better. You also have some great images in your gallery (sorry, I havent been around NPN for a while).
