My first try at this sort of thing, night photography of a campsite in Baja, with the inevitable inside lighting of the tent. Any suggestions / comments appreciated...

At least in this small version, it looks like you captured great detail in the landscape. The soft clouds are a big plus. This is one of my favorite types of photography, but I don't get out to do it that often.

You got a tremendous amount of detail - must have had some bright moon light. It looks great. Just curious - is that a cabin off to the left?

David, yes the moon was pretty strong that night, but still dark enough for the stars to shine. That is a cabin to the left - apparently abandoned. I don't know why, you couldnt ask for a better back yard!

I love the look and feel of this. Makes me want to go camping in Baja (except I would worry about snakes and other desert critters) The color is great and you can still see such detail for a night shot.

Beautiful! I love the cloud streaks in the sky as well. The bright moonlight makes the tent glow have a little less impact, but having that detail in the landscape is great!
