I like the purple against the green background. I had some of these last summer, and did not ever come up with a pleasing compositon. You did a nice job. Only nit is, I would probably clone out the red petals on the bottom.

Tim: I really like the light here and the general arrangement of elements in the frame. I would be tempted to crop this to 4:5 from the bottom and make the red petals go away. I might also shave about 10 pixels off the left edge to eliminate the partial cosmos center. Kudos on the DOF and color palette.>=))>

I love the two main blooms Timothy, but the clipped bottom one on the left really bothers me.

Thanks for looking and the critique. I shaved a bit off per your suggestions. Any better?

Very nice, comp. I definitely like the repost better, it eliminates the only weaknesses that I see.

I'm liking the repost with cropping from the left to eliminate the partial center of the lower cosmos and going with a 4:5 crop from the bottom to eliminate the red petals. I'm wondering how it would look to do the crop from left but to just clone out the red petals using the wonderful bg greens you have. Would give the cosmos some height/punch that you had in the original post. Just my $.02 worth.

I like the repost a lot better, with the removal of the red petals.
