Good to see your post here in support of the 10 year anniversary, Preston. This image is a strong testament to the quality and the main body of your work that is primarily captured throughout the sierras over numerous years. The natural setting seen here is a very fine example of that entire sierra region.

This is a beautiful example of how I have been inspired by the large-format photographers here on NPN. Your work, and the work of your fellow "sheet-shooters" often shows us the extraordinary beauty to be found in simple scenes. Views such as this represent an honesty in appreciating the landscape without "tricks" such as extreme perspectives that we so often use with our little cameras. They call attention to Nature, rather than the photograper.
