Beautiful. It looks like the focus is sharper on the wing feathers and the patch of yellow on the rear end. Do not know if he/she moved it's head as you shot. Minor nit. :toast: :toast:

Great shot of (IMO) one of the most beautiful birds in North America Charlie. Perfect perch, perfect BG, and darn good detail. I would keel over if I had gotten it.

Awesome image, Charlie. Great colors and pose. I like this as is but in trying to think of any thing that mght be an improvement, a bit of fill flash might have opened up the shadows a bit more? :toast:

Wow. He looks like a piece of fruit, so colorful. I can occasionally get a good background, sometimes a nice pose, and once in a rare instance a decent perch....you have all of the above and more in this single photo. :toast:
Oh, I have heard that scare crows or motion sensor triggered guns will scare vermin like this away if the invasion intensifies.

Excellent detail and overall a wonderful photohraph Charlie. I am only wondering if maybe a bit more room on the right or alternatively a slight crop from the bottom would enhance the comp a bit by getting the bird a bit more off center, but that is really nit picking.

Outstanding! One of the best of this beautiful species I have seen. Reminds me of one Bob Steele posted a few years ago but better.
