I made a trip to Klamath Marsh yesterday for the first time. I am not used to shooting waterfowl so it was an interesting trip. I had hoped for some Sandhill Cranes but only saw two and the were behind a fence. The Cinnamon Teal were plentiful however. C&C welcome. Shot with Canon 50D & Sigma 150-500.

Clayton, this is nice. I think your exposure is very good and the sharpness looks good too. The BG is a bit busy, but I like it due to its geometry. I believe this needs some significant CW rotation to level it out, but beyond that it is very nice IMO.

Thanks Ron. I didn't even notice he was swimming uphill.

Good sharp details, Clayton. I've never seen one of these. I like the habitat here.

I don't think I've seen one of these posted on NPN before. I like the repost and hope you'll go back when the light is not so harsh. They are beautiful birds with that rich rust color. I like the water with the reflecting habitat. Sharon

It looks like the Sigma is doing a good job for you.
Good shot.
